Word Counter

The TextScore Word Counter counts characters, words, sentences, paragraphs, and reading time inside the browser with no signup and no server round-trips.

How to use it

  1. Open the matching TextTools tab from the CTA at the bottom of this page.
  2. Paste or type the text you want to work on into the shared editor.
  3. Apply the tool-specific controls described on this page.
  4. Copy the result or continue editing in the same browser session.

Use cases

Writers use the TextScore Word Counter to hit blog-post ranges before drafting in a CMS that has no clean built-in counter.

Marketers use it to confirm landing-page sections stay short enough for scanning and to estimate reading time for newsletter intros.

Students and researchers use it to check assignment minimums and paragraph balance before submission.

Social media teams use the character count to trim long drafts before adapting them for stricter platforms.

How it works

The TextScore Word Counter reads the editor value in real time, splits text on whitespace boundaries, counts non-empty tokens, counts paragraphs from line breaks, and estimates reading time from the total word count.
